In April of 1995, my husband and I decided to become entrepreneurs and bought the local crafter's mall when the owners decided to sell. I had been a crafter in the store from its beginnings. What was I going to do with all the inventory in my basement at home if I no longer had an outlet. I have always loved making things with my hands and everything I know my Mom taught me (not quite everything). We had never dreamed of owning our own business, but when the opportunity became available we took the leap of faith that we could succeed. We wanted to offer the community an exceptional shopping experience.

How long have you been in Elko and how did you get here...About 24 years, my dad got a job here and the family moved.

What is one of the things you love about Elko...The beauty, the morning after a snowfall, the mountains, and the sagebrush.

What is one of your favorite memories...There are so many to choose from, one of the most recent was going through the Oquirrh Mountain Temple openhouse.

Which holiday is your favorite...Any holiday I can decorate or dress up for. Basicly all of them. Mom thinks it is Halloween, because I love costumes. Christmas is a close second because I really put a lot of thought into my gift giving.
